#RedefineNormalToday – What On Earth Is A Normal Mood?

Normal Mood What's That

According to my mood ring chart, my current mood is ‘normal’. Yes, really. Face With Rolling eyes Emoji

I have no idea what that means! Do you? There’s no such thing as a normal mood, is there?  Normal varies from person to person. A normal mood for me might be abnormal to you. Because there’s no set standard for normal in general.

PS Wonder what that rolling eyes emoji is doing up there?  Well, I love emojis and I just found out that today is World Emoji Day :)

  1. Normal is what is normal for you. Okay that’s not any less vague than “normal” itself.

Whatever makes you happy, whatever you dow ithout thinking, that’s normal. There isn’t one version of it, though.

At least that’s what I think.

    1. Nailed it! Normal does vary from person to person. What’s that quote by Morticia Addams again? Oh yes, remembered. It goes “Normal is an illusion. What is normal to the spider is chaos to the fly.”

  2. “Normal” mood is a very pretty color. Maybe it means you are feeling balanced- no emotion is overpowering the others? I love mood rings. I once had a mood necklace, but I couldn’t see it- so I didn’t enjoy it as much. I like the eye rolling emoji too. ?

    1. Hi, Stephanie. Maybe it does, but why is feeling any one emotion in particular generally touted as abnormal? What we feel is directly linked to what we have/are going through in life, so moods and feelings are bound to change accordingly. I like your explanation….wish they had used the word balanced instead.
I love mood rings too. Yeah, I can imagine why the necklace didn’t appeal to you as much. What’s the point if you can’t glance at it every now and then, right? And that’s one of my favourite emojis :D
