Today, September 10, is World Suicide Prevention Day. As someone who has been on the brink of suicide and almost lost her life a couple of times, this day is extremely significant to me. I don’t want anyone to suffer the way I have, so when my blogger friend Shilpa Gupte asked me to write a suicide awareness post, I didn’t have to think before I said a very enthusiastic yes. So without further ado, here is the guest post I wrote for her amazing wellness website, Metanoia:

4 signs someone you care about is thinking of committing suicide.

Go check it out and help spread the word on social media and in the flesh. You might just help save a life or two.

  1. I’ve been there, too. Almost wasn’t here today… it’s weird to think about it, as I don’t want to die now.
I am happy you’re still here, too, Mahevash. The world is a better place with you in it, never forget!
