Email Anxiety Is Real – Anxiety Photo Series Post 3

Email Anxiety Is Real

Them emails keep flying in
My inbox looks like a giant mess
Wish I could ignore the unread
But I can’t, what if I miss something important?

So I set aside whatever I’m doing
To try and declutter my inbox
I do my best but I swear it’s jinxed
For every email I take care of
Another two come right in

My friend notices my struggle
And stops me right away
Take a deep breath and take your time, she says
Email is not meant to be instant messaging anyway

  1. So fucking relatable. I have recently done this one thing that has brought me a lot of peace: I have disabled email notifications on my phone. Nothing in my inbox is so important that it can’t wait!

    1. I am glad you could relate, Lynda. Good call on disabling email notifications. Coincidentally, I have done the same on my phone and it has really helped reduce my email anxiety. Now I check mails when I want to, not when someone expects me to!
