Yes, It’s All In My Head. But That Doesn’t Make It Any Less Real.

It’s all in my head, they say
Change your thoughts, change your mind
Don’t you think I would if I could?
You think I want to live with mental illness?

I am done with the fog of clinical depression
Bogged down by the tension of generalized anxiety
Exhausted by my flashbacks of PTSD
Sick of the impulsivity of BPD

It’s in my head, it’s in my mind
And the mind is what controls the body
