Woman Can’t Discuss Mental Illness Because “Good Vibes Only”

Woman Can't Discuss Mental Illness Because “Good Vibes Only”

Rashida has depression, anxiety, and borderline personality disorder. This unholy trifecta prevents her from having a stable job and a long-term relationship. She can’t afford therapy and needs her friends’ support. But her neurotypical friends deny her “negativity” with chants of “good vibes only”.

This is a satire piece that got rejected by the amazing website Reductress.com. PS ‘Good vibes only’ is a toxic school of thought, so please don’t let it get to you even if the offensive hashtag continues to trend on Instagram.
